Lip Blush (also known as Lip Tattoo or Permanent Lipstick) is a professional cosmetic and aesthetic procedure that uses a machine similar to a tattoo machine to implant colour pigment (of the client's choice) into the dermis of the lips, resulting in fuller and more defined looking lips.
Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent tattoo or makeup where people are looking to rejuvenate the color of their lip border or the actual substance of the lip.
It is not uncommon as we age to lose the pigment, particularly women, in their lips and lip lines. With loss of color and lip definition, a lot of women use lip liner to accommodate this and to make the lips look slightly bigger.

Our lip blushing treatment is about making your lips even, creating the illusion of volume and ensuring that the colour stays put in any situation so that all you need to do is add a dab of lip gloss and you’re good to go! The lip blush treatment is the perfect way to restore shape and fullness lost with age and transform thin or uneven lips. A tint is selected from a range of our fabulous shades and this can be as subtle or dramatic as you desire – either blending subtly with your natural lip colour or matching your favourite cosmetic lip colour.

DARK LIPS NEUTRALISATION
A very soft tint of colour throughout the lips for a natural wash of definition. No harsh borders or outlines and is very natural-looking. Suits everyone with lighter lips wanting a natural result.
This is our most popular lip treatment; we define the lip border and cupids bow and then add a wash of custom blended colour to the lip but without the obvious lip border that can look outdated. Full saturation of colour to achieve high definition with longer lasting 'lipstick' effect
Clients with darker pigmented lips typically Fitzpatrick 4-6 may need Neutralisation - which is the process of using colour theory to lighten and brighten the dark lip tissue. This is the same process as Sheer & HD but more than 2 sessions may be required with more healing time.

Whether choosing sheer lips, HD lips or dark lips neutralising, all of our lip blushing can be viewed as enhancing what you have rather than changing or covering up. At Gallery Medispa in Milton Keynes we do not offer lip line only treatments as this is often regretted by the client months down the line. This treatment subtly makes the best of the lips you do have.
Sheer Lips
Sheer lips is a form of lip blushing that blends the color of your choice into the lips in a soft airbrushed effect similar to a lip tint. It doesn’t define the edges of the lips as much as other techniques do. In fact, that’s what differentiates sheer lips from regular lip blushing.
The sheer lip blush doesn’t outline the lips into a defined shape, but rather gives the illusion of wearing no makeup, as if your lips are naturally that color. This is achieved by a shaded, blended edge that’s less saturated in color than the center of the lips.
The sheer lips technique implies a soft blending of color into the lips, so the color is built up in several passes to achieve the blurred, airbrushed effect. Depending on your wishes, the PMU artist will saturate different areas of the lips more or less.
The results are less opaque than with full lip color, so it won’t completely hide the texture of your lips, but rather enhance them. Clever shading can give the illusion of fuller lips and make their shape look more symmetrical.
HD Lip Blush
This is our most popular lip treatment; we define the lip border and cupids bow and then add a wash of custom blended colour to the lip but without the obvious lip border that can look outdated.
We blend a pigment that will be the most flattering to your skin tone and the type of shade that you prefer. We then draw the lip template, making the lips more even in shape and as full as possible. Due to new techniques, the colour is lightly implanted using very fine needles, this is not only far more comfortable for the client but also give a modern look of a ‘tint’ rather than the outdated lipstick look of previous years. This treatment leaves the lips looking fuller, more youthful and without the need for lipstick.
Dark Lip Neutralisation
Often our lips can be pigmented from sun damage, smoking or external factors. Some of us simply have lips that naturally have a purple, blue or brown hue.
Until recently, we have been unable to make these lips more uniform but with the new techniques, we are now able to neutralise even the most heavily pigmented lips.
We use colour charts to assist us in neutralising the lips for example, if your lips have a purple hue, we would use an orange neutraliser to correct. Don’t worry! You won’t end up with orange lips, the orange simply neutralises the purple tone and will heal a soft nude/pink.
During the healing process, your lips may look patchy but you are able to cover with lipstick after 7 days.
*Neutralisation may take more sessions than a regular lip blush, 2 sessions are included in the price, further sessions would be chargeable.

How does micropigmentation work?
We are delighted to offer the full Lip Blush process from Tina Davis.
This process allows our clients to not only choose their lip blush colour from a range of 12 amazing shades, but also to try to the shade before going ahead with the process. You can also purchase the same colour that you have for your treatment to brighten up the chosen shade as you choose.
💄 TRY IT: Our clients are able to try the color they'd like to have done by using our Lip Blush Stains - perfectly paired to the pigments.
✏️ DRAW IT: Pre-draw the shape with the matching pencil. This will help our clients get even more comfortable with the colour, shape and therefore reduces anxiety.
🖋️ INK IT: We then Tattoo the lips with the colour(s) our client has selected. ❤️
💋 BLUSH IT: We then offer the Lip Blush Stain as the perfect take home accessory to enhance our client's results.
WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?

WHAT DOES THIS TREATMENT INVOLVE?This non-surgical facelift uses a range of dermal fillers to achieve the desired effect. Depending on your requirements, these can be administered to specific face areas like the cheeks, under the eyes, or lower face, dependent upon on which areas you need to improve.

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT FROM THIS NON-SURGICAL FACELIFT WITH FACE FILLERS?You will instantly see an improvement in your appearance, but you may have some swelling and redness from the injections, which can take a day or two to settle. The best result is visible typically after around 7-10 days when any mild swelling has subsided. The result will be an improved and rejuvenated facial appearance, which should appear more lifted.

HOW LONG DOES A LIQUID FACELIFT/ 8 POINT FACELIFT TAKE TO SETTLE?Most people look fine by the next day; if you do have any swelling or bruising, it is likely to be mild and covered by the next day with makeup.

WILL I RECEIVE A CONSULTATION PRIOR TO TREATMENT?Yes, all appointments, regardless of the treatment you have booked for, begin with a thorough consultation. The fee for your consultation is redeemable against the cost of your treatment should you wish to go ahead with it at the time of your booking. At Gallery Medispa Milton Keynes, we take a holistic approach, considering patients concerns and expectations and supporting the patient before and after the treatment. At Gallery Medispa, we believe that it is important that patient support starts with pre-treatment consultation, whereby the patient is fully prepared and comfortable in the hands of the practitioner, and most importantly in order to understand the patients aesthetic goals and expectations. Our patients must be assessed for suitability and provided the correct amount of information for them to make an informed decision.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?Bruising can happen, albeit rare, however there are also steps you can take to minimise this which we will advise in our pre and post care information, although no practitioner can guarantee against such. Immediately after treatment your skin may appear red and feel a little sore. There may also be some mild swelling but this will subside within a couple of days. Each patient is an individual and everyone will react differently, however we do our best at all times to ensure the most comfortable and positive experience for every patient that chooses us at Gallery Aesthetics. You will be sent full pre and post treatment care prior to your appointment.

RISKS & SIDE EFFECTSFillers are only as good as the person injecting them, regardless of the product used, and therefore aren’t something to take lightly. At Gallery Aesthetics we only use the highest grade products, with specialist trained practitioners administering them. We are all fully insured and qualified to carry out these procedures and highly trained should any potential complications arise, albeit this is very, very rare. General side effects are swelling and/ or bruising and these usually subside within 2-3 days post procedure. Final results will be visible around 2 weeks post procedure. You will be provided with complete aftercare and if you are concerned about anything, please contact us. If you suffer from coldsores (herpes virus), having a lip augmentation can trigger a breakout. If you have a coldsore at the time of your appointment this is a contraindication and can result in complications, therefore unfortunately we will be unable to treat you. Dermal fillers are made up of a naturally occurring substance therefore it is extremely rare to suffer an allergic reaction. All of the dermal fillers we use are fully reversible, instantly.

AM I A SUITABLE CANDIDATE?The ideal patient for a thread lift is over 30, have realistic expectations and not wishing to have surgery. A thread lift is an option with temporary results, for those with sagging skin. You must be in good health with realistic expectations.

WHAT PRODUCTS DO WE USE?At Gallery Aesthetics we stock a number of fillers which are all top of the range and premium brands. Different products can produce different results and often the brand we will use will depend on the result you want to achieve. Natural results generally require the use of thinner products and this is most often our preference. The fillers we use are based on hyaluronic acid (HA), which is the body’s own natural skin plumper and so has an almost impossible risk of an allergic reaction. Thinner or less dense fillers are used for surface areas like lips and crow’s feet, and thicker ones are injected deeper and used in the jawline are and cheeks for example. All the fillers we use are fully reversible, so if necessary they can be immediately dissolved. Our techniques are based on achieving natural results. A natural look is our forte and we pride ourselves in our undetectable results. We use Juvederm, Aliaxin, Belotero Balance, Restylane and Perfectha HA fillers amonsgst others, and we choose the one we feel will suit you best as an individual, based on the various properties of them that suit you best.
